Pretty, well no, but fun, yes
May 28th, 2007Bolder Boulder 2007. I headed up to boulder last night to barbeque with some aussie friends in town, attend a bridal shower, and do the final pack and close up shop (our house) in Boulder. This would make it final… we have moved to the Springs. Leaving a few furniture items and a box of misc. stuff somehow made the move… not so final. Today I woke up early and met my friend Hayley at the corner as we so often do for a morning run. This morning we ran to the start of the Bolder Boulder. 50,000 runners and man, it is the most organized race you will ever do. 7:01 am and we were off. The race went as planned. I am tired from the first month of proper training in about 3 years. I hoped to go thru the first 5K around 19 min… which I did. Then pick it up the second half… which I didn’t. I just ran along same pace… I was trying to run faster but my legs would not go. FLAT. I was flat. I did get to run and high five Lachey who was on matt’s shoulders so was about 12 feet in the air. So it wasn’t pretty in my 40:58 time but it was fun. Hayley and I then ran back to Vic’s to cheer on some other friends. Good to see my Boulder friends. Alcatraz is up this week. I get to be a cheerleader… Go Matty. The final box is gone and the shop is closed up. Move on… don’t mess around… move on… you bring me down… move on… to new things and new heights. Out.
